Er wird als Verh\u00e4ltnis von der dunkelsten zur hellsten Stelle angegeben.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 120%;\">In einer Vorlage (Dia, Negativ, Foto) hat der hellste Punkt eine sogenannte Minimaldichte und der dunkelste Punkt eine Maximaldichte. Aus der Differenz von Maximaldichte und Minimaldichte ergibt sich dann der sogenannte Dichteumfang, der in der Fotografie auch als Kontrastumfang bezeichnet wird.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 120%;\">Der Kontrastumfang des Motivs bzw. der Vorlage ist entscheidend zum Ermitteln der richtigen Belichtung: Nur wenn der Belichtungsumfang\u00a0des Sensors oder Films gr\u00f6\u00dfer oder gleich dem Kontrastumfang des Motivs ist, lassen sich alle Details des Motivs aufzeichnen.
