Libraries are repositories of knowledge, but their purpose is not only to preserve information, but above all to disseminate it. Digitization plays a key role in this, and the scanning systems required for this must cover a wide range of areas: from publicly accessible reading rooms and service centers to the conservation digitization of rare collections.

We have developed customized scanning systems and software solutions for all these different requirements in close cooperation with libraries worldwide. For example, our reading room scanners such as the Kiosk Public and Spirit offer an alternative to copying systems. They feature a user-friendly interface that allows direct transfer to mobile devices, while ensuring the necessary security with regard to data carriers and software. High-performance systems, such as the Ultra A2 or the Mosquito A1, are used for large-scale retro-digitization projects or on-demand delivery services. For the digitization of rare and valuable collections, such as illuminated manuscripts, which have special conservation requirements in terms of lighting and opening angles, special scanners such as our Cobra A1/A2 are available.
