JPEG 2000, JP2

JPEG 2000 is a file compression format that uses codes to create better compression performance and highly improved image quality. The coding system uses an area of interest approach that enables the saving of parts of images of different quality. Saving files in JPEG 2000 standard allows the user to choose between using compression or saving files in lossless to retain the original details.
