Ultra

The book2net Ultra adapts perfectly to any original. No matter how large the document to be digitized is, the result is always of outstanding quality, thanks to the high-performance sensor, the lens, the LED lighting and the Fresnel lenses. However, the performance of our Ultra can be fully exploited, especially with large formats, as scanning in formats up to A2 is possible without any problems.

Not only the elements already mentioned, which are all located in the upper area of the scanner, but also some key techniques further down contribute to perfect results and enable pleasant and effective work. For example, the book cradle: when a large, thick book is opened, the heavier “stack” moves downwards so that the surface of the adjacent pages forms a plane. This is an important prerequisite for an accurate result. In addition, there is room for a book spine up to ten centimetres wide in a niche. This means that the book does not rest on the spine, which prevents slanting and abrasion.

The position of the book to be scanned is optimized by a glass plate that presses gently onto the book pages. The special glass does not reflect any light and therefore does not interfere with the capture of the entire double page right down to the last corner. The book2net Ultra also makes no compromises when it comes to sharpness and color accuracy.

This scanning system is characterized not only by its perfection in digitization but also by the convenience it offers the operator. The Ultra has a number of optional solutions, for example the control module that automatically adjusts the book cradle, presses the glass plate optimally onto the pages and then starts the scanning process. Scanning itself is very fast, as is usual with devices from our company. An original is captured within 0.3 seconds, and scanning, transferring and saving together take just 2.2 seconds.

The 24-inch screen is also available as an option, on which the final result can be previewed – also using the zoom function.  In addition, there is powerful software that is also OCR-capable if required. This technology enables text recognition, meaning that the text of a scanned document can be copied and edited. This is extremely practical if you want to do more with written documents than capture them as an exact copy of the original, save them and present them digitally.
