The book cradle, glass plate and LED lighting system can be precisely adjusted to a wide variety of differing formats and structures in just a few seconds. The different format positions (DIN A0 to DIN A5) can be approached conveniently. A unique feature is the ability to load the associated color profiles and matching parameters with just one click on the symbolic format markings of the intuitive scan software.

With the book2net multispectral system, faded writing, underdrawings, combinations of writing, drawing and painting materials or traces of organic aging processes can be made visible. This enables the examination of originals for their material completeness as well as detailed authenticity analyses.

As a system, the book2net multispectral system closes the gap between pure UV photography and infrared photography beyond 1000 nm. In this range, the camera works constantly with a resolution of 71 MP through high-resolution CMOS sensor technology.

The x71 Multispectral is the world’s first filterless multispectral camera that enables pixel-precise imaging between 365 and 1,100 nm without refocusing and fixed aperture. Within a few seconds, numerous exposure sets in a wide range of wavelengths can be generated and combined in fully automated processes. This makes the X71 Multispectral an innovative tool for scientific and material technology analyses, for forensics and for comprehensive documentation of works of art.

The intuitive software user interface is designed for the simplest handling. Stored standards and profiles can be freely modified or reconfigured in expert mode and linked to form scan series as automated scan, light and analysis processes.

With the new Hybrid Scanning Workstation, book2net combines the advantages of two scanning worlds in a uniquely convenient way: contactless, gentle digitization by planetary scanners for fragile or bound documents and the productivity of document scanners for fast digitization of loose sheet collections. Our hybrid scanning systems are therefore particularly suited to the requirements of extensive retro-digitization projects in archives and digitization centers.

Documents of a wide variety of formats, materials and states of preservation, such as certificates, letters, carbon copies, photos, newspaper clippings and even small objects such as seals or medals, can easily be digitized simultaneously and efficiently with the utmost care and quality.

Depending on your requirements, you can combine different models of our book2net planetary scanners with our specially designed high-performance SCAMIG  documents scanners to create a workstation networked by common scanning software and conveniently controlled from a PC workstation. Together with custom-built, height-adjustable tables, the result is an ergonomic seated workstation that allows both devices to be operated comfortably in turn.
